Landmines and other unexploded weapons still directly and indirectly affect millions of people; every 30 minutes someone gets maimed or killed by a land mine, 90% are innocent civilians, and 1 in 3 are children. Yet it only costs about 1 to clear one square metre of minefield. The Dangerous Ground Project idea is simple and powerful, communicating that for millions of people, the simple act of stepping on the ground is a life threatening thing to do.
